This Winston Churchill bobblehead is part of Royal Bobbles' collection of historic figures. Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill was born in Oxfordshire, England on October 26, 1951, to an aristocratic family. He eventually joined the British Army and then tried his hand at government where he was elected a member of parliament in 1900. He was then the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1940 to 1945 and 1951 to 1955. As a Liberal, Churchill served as President of the Board of Trade, Home Secretary, and First Lord of the Admiralty. During World War I, he oversaw the Gallipoli Campaign but resigned shortly after. When he returned to government, he became Secretary of State for War, Secretary of State for Air, then Secretary of State for the Colonies. He once again became the First Lord of the Admiralty at the beginning of WWII and shortly after, took Neville Chamberlain's position as Prime Minister. Churchill is best known for leading Britain to victory in World War II as Prime Minister. He is also known as a historian, writer, and artist. This bobblehead shows Winston Churchill in a gray suit with a bow tie around his neck and a cigar in his mouth. He is also making a peace sign with his right hand.
